Guest residences are typically more show than they get use out of, but with this Long Island based guest cottage and its hip, functional design– we would want to live here more than we’d like to admit. Though it’s a small space, the Gray Organschi Architecture built space is the ideal guest setting (let alone main house!).
The shell is a multi-level space that’s clad in grey stained vertical wood boards, combined with the contemporary frameless windows and multi-use spaces. The interior is covered from floor to ceiling with a light, maple colored wood, providing warmth and some sound cladding to the kitchenette, living, bedroom and loft room space. Though the quarters are close, they aren’t unbearable– especially with views like this.
