Australian poster artist, RONE created, for the last ten years, a recognizable visual identity. Smooth faces of evasive feminine figures, pasted up on filthy and teared up backgrounds compose a glamourous imagery the artist sticks all over the walls of the cities. Melbourne, New York, Barcelona, Hong Kong or Tokyo, his playground sprawls as his fame grows. As testifies his first solo exhibition, “L’Inconnue de la Rue”, where all his works have been sold before the opening of the doors. A trend confirmed by the National Gallery of Australia which has just integrated one of his pieces.
